My students need counting money puzzles, real-life nonfiction stories, and life skills activities and CD-ROM.
Every child deserves to have an access to education. Students with disabilities may learn differently, but that doesn't mean they cannot learn.
I teach students with moderate-severe disabilities ranging from kindergarten to 5th grade.
I am always amazed by how much they teach me everyday. My students have such kind and gentle hearts and with the help of their amazing parents and other staff members, they are able to share their gifts with the rest of the school.
My students need life skills materials. My students require instruction in what many parents and teachers take for granted. While general education teachers may teach money and time for a unit or two, my students may require a year or more of instruction in these areas. Obtaining life skills will ensure that my students be able to be independent and productive members of society when they age out of the school system. I am requesting counting money puzzles to help make this process more hands-on for my students and help them put together something they enjoy doing (puzzles) with a skill they are struggling with. I am also requesting real-life nonfiction readers to help my students learn about real life scenarios and learn to read at the same time. Lastly, I am requesting books and a CD-ROM that will provide other resources and reproducibles to use during their life skills class.
Your donations will ensure that my students have the materials to help them learn critical life skills such as money and time.
Hands-on materials will help my students learn these skills and maintain them throughout their education.
