Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Rugs are high options for students in schools because they’re warm and soft and makes the whole class feel welcome and as if they were at home.
I would love my students to have a rug to sit down in a relaxing cozy area or where they can go lay down and read a book!
Or as the teacher, where I can lay down with them for center time and read a book all together. Or have a special time like a reward for outstanding students as an incentive!
Students can sit in rows on the rug or sit around the rug for discussion time or an educational game. Classroom rugs become a memory building space for students to get to know each other and the teacher just a little bit better.
I would love for my students a place to build that special area and feel at home!
