This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am wanting to start a classroom snack store. This would help me promote positive behavior through a token economy. Students would learn to save tickets in order to purchase snacks of their choosing. The popular and sought after snacks would require students to understand fiscal responsibility and save up tickets. While less desired items would be worth fewer tickets.
The idea behind this project is two-fold.
I want to teach students responsible decision making with tickets as well as promote positive behavioral changes among students. I truly believe that every student is capable and willing to work hard when they see the possibility of rewards.
