This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me give my students a classroom library full of books they are interested in and want to read. Helping me create and stock a classroom library is an investment in my students and their futures that can have a lasting impact and boost their self-confidence while encouraging them to pursue their academic and personal interests.

The books on our wish list have been selected by my students and will be accessible to them before and after school, when they finish their work, and to check out so they can bring them home.

Our classroom library will have a variety of books and activities at various levels so that there is something for everyone and all students have an opportunity to develop a love of reading.

Access to more books means more opportunities for students to practice reading while enhancing their literacy skills and sparking their imaginations. Access to a well-stocked library can lead to better academic performance, supports homework completion, and helps students develop a love for reading, which is fundamental for academic success.

By donating to our classroom library you will be enriching the educational experience of low-income students, while fostering a love for learning and providing children with the tools they need to succeed academically and in life.
