My Project

I teach in a 101-year-old building and could use some help creating a captivating classroom for my amazing group of 8th-grade students. While the building has its charm, the blaring florescent lights, the inability to close my binds, and the ancient projector struggling to combat the direct sunshine make it hard for my students to follow along with lessons on the board. I am a strong proponent of creating technology-driven experiences and faithfully use my projector and screen every day to engage my students in the daily lessons using slide decks, interactive games, and other whole-class activities.

Your help will allow me to combat the challenges of teaching 21st-century children in a 20th-century building.

A gentle swath of rainbow-colored windows will cut back on the direct sunshine streaming through the windows and light covers and prism will soften the industrial ceiling, bringing a calm, soothing environment for each of my students.

I challenge my students each day to concentrate wholly on their reading and writing and creating an environment where they can thrive is vital for each student to soar!
