This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help me teach my students (kindergarten-1st grade special education) how to count and add to 100. We break numbers down by: 1's, 10's, and 100's. Showing students standard number form is not beneficial if they do not understand place value.

Having visuals and hands on materials helps my special education class better understand counting and adding.

Whether it is up to 10, 20, or 100, counting and adding is a crucial component to life. Visual materials will give students the opportunity to extend on the language they hear when counting.
