Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I want to provide my students a proper classroom library to spark an interest in reading. Students in my classroom struggle with finding books that would keep their interest, which deters them from fully engaging in reading. My school media center has removed so many books from their collection and don’t really have a large collection of books, so I would like to have books in my classroom that will hold their interests and keep them reading. Graphic novels are a great way to spark interest in reluctant readers, and with the project I would be able to obtain graphic novels.
