My Project
Each day, I will be instructing nearly 200 middle schoolers. Each of these students has been issued an iPad, which they use both in the classroom and at home. These devices allow them to access their textbook virtually, as well as complete assignments, assessments and other activities.
Working with students on technology can be a blessing and a curse all at the same time, but thanks to Nearpod, iPads have become wonderful teaching tool!
Their iPads are unfortunately filled with games and other distractions that many middle schoolers find hard to resist. Fortunately, Nearpod has given me the tools to manage my students, while teaching in a 1:1 student-iPad teaching environment.
Once they are logged into Nearpod, students are taken through a lesson that is exciting and engaging! As they view the lesson on their screens, they will be actively involved in activities, puzzles and even virtual field trips. The website also allows me to monitor the students and their involvement at all times. Keeping their interest and holding them accountable is the key to managing students while working on technology!
