Help Me Bring Instruction to My Students From Home
Help me give my students better instruction with a white board and markers during online instruction.
I teach at a wonderful middle school that has been recognized five times as a "school to watch." This is very remarkable since we live in a high-poverty area, and many of our students have difficulty finding support for musical enrichment outside of our classroom.
This is why it is so important that we are still able to reach 100% of our music students during this time of online, distance learning.
By bringing the lessons into their homes and giving them the best music education that we can manage in this uncertain time. My hope as their teacher is to help all of my students not only continue learning, but also have a musical escape during their day!
My school has embraced online instruction and all of us are doing the absolute best we can to bring our students the tools that they need to continue learning during this difficult time. This means learning new technologies for both our students and our teachers.
I could really use a good old fashion white board and markers here at my home "classroom" to help explain key concepts and daily announcements.
I love technology. I have been using great online tools like Nearpod, Google Classroom, and YouTube for years and now I have embraced wonderful new to me tech like EdPuzzle and Screencastify. I love these aids, but I could really use a simple dry erase board to help me simplify and bring some familiar instruction to my students at home.
