My students are the scholars of the future. I love how they are hard-working and ambitious. They live in an underserved and neglected community. Dealing with family and community issues could really be really discouraging, but they persevere. I provide love, support, and knowledge for them and they excel. I admire them so much for their continued courage. They are the future.
My Project
More now than ever technology is playing a decisive role in equity. The research continues to show that those who have it, have a greater chance for success than those who do not. That fact is even more crucial as students learn remotely due to this ongoing pandemic. Here’s the good news, our kids are wired for technology. They love using it. Having these tablets and headphones will be a great part of their educational journey towards success. Having the resources they need is an important part of their health, safety and well-being. We know that education is the great equalizer. What my students lack in resources, they make up with determination and endurance. Thank you for making education equitable and attainable for our students.
