My Project

Our daily focus is on preparing students to become college and career ready through mentoring. This request is for laptops, microwaves and refrigerators to use for student resources while in college. As a part of an incentive-based program for students who complete the high school Project STAND program students will be supported with wrap around services.

Our school program supports students as they meet their goals executing their positive post-secondary plan.

Due to social economic issues having big ticket necessities are not always possible. Because our program provides wrap around services, we support the students from high school to college.

It is critical students have the tools and resources to enroll and attend college. This improves the citizenship goals and outcomes of the City of Memphis. The Project STAND program plans to use the use this project to:

1. Increase enrollment into college for 1st generation college students.

2. Reward via incentives for those who apply to college and gain acceptance.

3. Encourage students to not allow limitations of resources to hinder moving forward with post-secondary planning.

4. Reduce recidivism and provide a positive option for those facing unforeseen issues inside of the justice system.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
