Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

The best way for my third grade students to learn math is by hands-on experiences with math. Having math manipulatives help students learn by touching. Using manipulatives on the overhead offers a unique format for learning and visualizing concepts. Using the overhead also helps all students be able to see what I am teaching. I am asking for overhead math manipulatives that will give my students tangible math learning. Math is not easy to master using textbooks and chalkboards. Students need to use more senses and make these concepts personal. I plan to use these overhead manipulatives in hopes of students mastering difficult concepts and increasing state math exam scores. Thank you in advance for considering my proposal.
