My Students
Our room is a wonderful interactive world with lots of hands on learning!
We are a small fourth grade class at a growing charter school.
I have a group that is very engaged in their learning and who are super creative. The kids love to learn and are always looking for new ways to explore their learning. They are all about learning in new ways and are always willing to share how they think learning could be more fun to them. They are a great group who are very driven!
My Project
My students will use the iPads in lots of different ways. They will use them to record each other performing skits, giving presentations, doing science experiments, for small group activities and for 1-on-1 learning. Having access to this kind of technology will open lots of new doors for my students. Being able to work one on one with a child with the iPad will help engage students who are more drawn to technology. It will also give students who are early finishers and outlet to be creative by using various applications to create videos, to practice skills, and to even read books that we don't have access to a hard copy. These iPads will just give a whole other dimension to the students' learning!
By receiving these iPads I will be able to put a whole new spin on my students learning experience.
They will grow so much in working with new skills that they are taught. They will also feel more in control of their learning when they are able to use the iPads to enhance what we are doing in class. These kids live in a world of technology and having more access to it in the classroom will help them learn how to be safer with it later on!
