My students need crayons, pencils, erasers, dry erase markers, paper, a cork roll and a paper trimmer. They also need a storage cart to store these items.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am teaching a wonderful, diverse, second grade class. It is a CIT class. It consist of 60% general ed students and 40% of the students with special needs. It is in a high needs, community, public school in the Bronx. Most of my students come from low income families, and live in shelters.
Some of my students are children who are struggling to read and write.
Some of my students read at Kindergarten level. One thing that my children have in common is that they love to read.
My Project
My students need crayons, pencils, erasers, dry erase markers, paper, a cork roll and a paper trimmer. They also need a storage cart to store these items. I am trying to make this a year where parents and students do not need to worry financially about paying for school supplies. This will allow the beginning of the school year to run smoothly for every child. Just think about the first day of school and how excited every child is about receiving new supplies. Imagine how that child would feel if he was not able to buy any new school supplies. By supporting my project you will make a child feel that same excitement as the other children that could afford it. These supplies will help children have a successful academic year.
Can you imagine the financial burden that will be lifted from these parents.
Having these school supplies will really help the parents and the students. Please donate.
