My Project

Hi donors! This is my very first project, and I'm so excited about it. I know the price is a lot, but just hear me out. I am a librarian at a Title I school in rural Alabama. The library was the size of a classroom until last year. It has been in the process of a remodel, which about doubled the size of the space. The students at our career tech built new shelves, and new carpet was installed. There has never been space for a reading nook, until now!

I would love to create a comfortable, functional, and inspiring environment for my students that supports learning, collaboration, and individual study!

This furniture would allow me to transform the library into a modern, flexible, and inspiring space for students. It will enhance the learning experience, promote collaboration, and create an inviting atmosphere for reading and studying. The investment in quality, durable, and sustainable furniture will provide long-term benefits for the entire school community.

My goals for this project are:

1. Enhance Comfort

4. Maximize Space Utilization

5. Aesthetic Improvement

The students have not been able to come to the library in almost 2 years. It would be so much fun if I was able to surprise them with a reading area. Seventy-six percent of my students are low income. For some, school is their only safe space. They deserve the coolest library ever!
