Help me give my students a cool space to focus and learn Spanish! The Black+Decker Air Conditioner will make sure the classroom is cool enough to keep students engaged and alert.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At Bell Senior High School, we have a legacy of great teachers making powerful impacts in the lives of hundreds of thousands of students across its almost 100 years of existence. Working and learning in such a historic building comes with its challenges, including faulty or unreliable cooling systems.
Learning a second language requires concentration and effort which is difficult when you are hot!
Students fall asleep or become listless because it takes too much effort to keep their bodies cool and have their brain focus simultaneously. The Black+Decker AC unit requested will provide a refreshing environment in which students will not be distracted asking for a drink of water or fidgeting themselves awake. Our students deserve the best environment possible for them to be successful. Please consider supporting this project to impact the lives of hundreds of students.
