Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students in my classrooms are back in the building and are now showing the impact of remote learning, It is my responsibility to fill in as much skills and knowledge as possible.

I have requested different items that will assist me in closing the achievement gap and getting the students up to speed.

I am asking for things such as headphones, seat cushions, and book storage buckets, to keep children's supplies organized. I have also requested some fun items such as markers, highlighters, and pens to motivate all of the students.

The headphones will be used for math activities that will include daily fluency practice on the computers. Seat cushions will help students have a comfortable place to sit since we have a lot of students and not all fit on the carpet. The book storage will help keep students' materials, like the highlighters and pencils I have requested, organized and ready for them when it's time to use them.

Since COVID I have seen a decline in student's academic and social-emotional skills. With the materials requested, I will start to begin to help close the gaps that have been created with all the uncertainty of the last 4 years.
