Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are faced with many challenges inside and outside the classroom due to their socioeconomic status. Our school is a Title I school where all of our students receive free or reduced-price meals. The majority of my students are also faced with the challenge of learning English as their second language. Despite the many challenges that my students face, they are capable of so much and I know they can be successful.

My goal is to create an environment for my students that is inviting, engaging, and meaningful.

My classroom is a safe place where learning is fun but adds meaning to their lives. Thanks to your donations I will continue to be able to do whatever I can to help my students succeed and move on to be successful members of society.

My Project

Our school being title 1 and 100% free breakfast and lunch, it is difficult to get the funding for great resources each year. Many of our text books and resources are old, in rough shape, and not aligned to the new state standards.

These resources provide new aligned word problems for each subject that is tested, that is reading, math, and science for 5th graders!

This project will help supply my classroom with NC Test Prep books, and supplies to create fun engaging games like door basketball! These things should make reviewing for such important tests seem exciting and less stressful.
