My Project
All of our students want to learn, but if they don't get enough to eat, or don’t feel warm at recess, that can interfere with learning time.
Many students come to the clinic requesting a snack, and sometimes a saltine is not enough to fill their tummies. Having a snack will help them get through the day, and feel better about school and learning. Grabbing a snack with no questions asked, helps teachers and students alike.
Kids also love to go outside at recess, but where we live, the winters are cold, and many kids don’t have, or they lose their gloves. Gloves make such a difference when playing outside on the playground equipment.
If we can help our students feel warm at recess and have full tummies, learning becomes something they want to do.
