My Students

Within the course of a day, I have around 120 students coming in and out of my classroom to learn Social Studies! Many of them come to me on a daily basis to share some new piece of history they learned, or a connection they made to another text, subject, or event in their daily life. They are also very questioning and analytical, always loving a discussion involving a social issue or a debatable topic!

My 120 students love to learn through hands-on activities and projects, games, "what if" scenarios/discussions, and history mysteries!

They all have a variety of skills and a variety of needed supports, but they all have one thing in common; a need for supplies and materials. Please consider donating to us so that we can create and complete the activities we love!

My Project

"Mrs. Boles! Where's the glue?" In order to complete such fun hands-on Social Studies activities in our classroom, we need basic school supplies such as glue, scissors, pencils, and sharpies.

Ask any of the 120 students in my room what school supply I need most, and they will tell you glue!

Our Regions of the U.S. posters and landform projects we have created require (at minimum): scissors and glue. With 120 students, we go through a lot of those supplies quickly, even if we are working in groups.

Pencils are also a hot commodity in my room; snatched up as fast as a fumbled football! And lastly, have you ever tried to write on models or projects made from recycled materials such as plastic? Pencils and regular markers don't work! We need sharpies! Please donate!
