Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What a challenge we are all facing! My five-year-old students have had their lives completely upended, and they need your help to continue their learning. Most of their parents are essential workers, and several have been diagnosed with the virus. They need basic materials to continue their learning now and in the near future.

My students will need basic supplies that they can use at home or in a physical classroom.

Coming from a Title I school, we have no budget for supplies and rely solely on donations. Now that we will need more supplies (no more shared crayons!) your donations will help more than ever.

My Project

With so much uncertainty regarding the rest of this school year and next year, I want to provide each of my students with their own personal supply bags that can be used at home or in school. Each bag is plastic and can be easily cleaned (important for five-year-olds!). I hope to give each student a 24 pack of crayons, several pencils, dry erase markers, and a pencil sharpener. This way each student will have their own supplies (no more sharing crayons!) and can easily transport it home or to school. This could be essential for next year!
