This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Ninety percent of our amazing students live below or near the poverty line. About 60% of our students are learning English in school. Sometimes our school struggles to get the resources we need to teach and care for our incredible students. This makes the job of a school even more important.

Many students we teach experience poverty, but that's just where they are starting.

Our students love to create art and read. They write computer code and even perform Shakespeare. They have big dreams, let's help them reach for those dreams!

My Project

All year, our students have bounced between in-person and virtual learning. Currently we have some students in school and some students still learning from home. To make this work, we need a little help. We need notebooks for lessons, markers to illustrate our stories, paper to practice drafting our stories, as well as pencils and erasures. Plus, you'll be sending us a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to download online lessons and resources.

My students love to write, but we don't have some of the things we need to write our stories; let's fix that!

With your help, students will be creating amazing stories. They will finally be able to publish their writing and feel like REAL WRITERS!
