My Project

Last year was a bit of a rough one for me. I was sick often and missed out on a lot of opportunities to bond with my students. Also after so many years teaching, a lot of things were damaged or lost.

I am hoping that the items in this project will help me to create and maintain a positive relationship with my students so that we have a great year!

The things that I believe will help with building rapport and incentivize positive behaviors and learning are the prize wheel spinner, and most of the games (I like doing Free Choice Fridays and games would be a great option). I plan to use the prize wheel to place their top choices for their rewards parties and it can also be useful in review games or during indoor recess.

The things that help my classroom be a cozy place for learning are the memory foam filling for my beanbag chair, Calm Down Corner kit and posters, and the Chalkboard Brights accents stars (they make the environment organized and pleasant to look at).

The dice and bingo chips accompany our math games. The students have lost a good chunk of the bingo chips and dice I had bought previously. I also need to replace other things the students have misplaced, used up, or damaged over the years including the dry erase erasers, markers, and pencil top erasers.

Lastly, there are items that will make my life easier. One of these items is the clicker for presentations so I can walk around the room and engage better with the students. The LED puck lights are to have on my whiteboard to show the students what level voice they should be using.
