This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hard-working, enthusiastic, and have a love of learning. My students also attend a Title I school where all students receive free lunch. Their families do not have money for extras and some not even for basic school supplies which are needed for students to be successful.

We are a close community and we are the small urban neighborhood school consisting of only about 400 mostly minority students.

Most of our students walk to school and know the people that live around them well, especially those with children in the school

My Project

A pencil sharpener is a an important piece of equipment in any elementary classroom. My students use it every single day, along with the pencils that I am requesting.

It will help ensure that the children in my class are prepared for school, ready to learn, and participate in the days activities.

There are so many students that come to school without the pencil that they need to be successful in classroom lessons. This donation will make sure this no longer happens.

They will be used in each subject and all day long. The pencil sharpener and pencil will help every single student in my classroom.
