Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in our school have a very special place in my heart, mostly because I went to our school as a kid. I was fortunate enough to have everything I needed as a learner but these students are truly in need of materials to make their learning lives a little easier.
They are primarily from low income, Spanish speaking families.
Our school is a Title I school and our neighborhood is a very diverse community with many low income families just getting by.
My Project
As the year continues my little learners have become more and more independent during workshop. This allows me to work with a small group during math and language arts workshop. I would like each center, during workshop time, to have multiple items to help keep students prepared and organized.
Your kind donation will help all the kids be efficient and organized: pre-sharpened pencils and paper holders.
We write so much every day, you wouldn't believe how many times we need to sharpen these pencils! Taking notes during research, calculating, drawing. Please help to provide us with the materials we need to be successful.
