This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Research shows that students learn best in small groups as opposed to in whole groups. Students are better at solving problems and developing a deeper understanding of the material when working in groups of 3- 6 students.
For the project requested, these supplies will enable me to provide the resources and tools to support their learning in a small group environment.
With the materials being accessible, my young mathematicians will become self-directed learners in an organized environment. Students in a small group will take turns being the group's leader as they rotate around the adjustable lectern. The storage containers will display writing tools for them as they are able to grab what they need during small group learning.
