This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in the Bronx in an area where most families are impoverished. My students are resilient learners. Against all odds they are in school everyday. They work hard and are excited and eager to learn new things and skills everyday. We work together to create a safe and nurturing learning environment that my students are happy to come to each day. I could not have asked for a better group. They make me so proud to be their teacher.

My Project

Help my students to stay focused by not worrying about their Often times, items go missing; they get stolen or get lost because there is no where to store certain items like head phones. having more space and labels to help properly identify a child's belongings will help them to feel safe at school.

They worry so often about what is happening to their belongings, like head phones, pencil cases, book bags, and rewards earned, that they have trouble focusing on their schools work.

With you help, we can organize our classroom, label their items and keep them in safe storage containers so they can continue to focus on their work.
