Do you remember the first time your artwork was displayed in your classroom? Do you remember how proud you were?
I teach Pre-Kindergarten to eighteen children in the New York City Area.
Many of these children come from low income families and do not receive the same opportunities other children their age get. I teach at a great school with great children but we are lacking resources.
My Project
My children need two cork boards. In our classroom we have two blackboards. We cover the blackboards with bulletin board paper and hang the children's artwork on them. Unfortunately, nothing stays on the walls and in a week it falls down. The children are sad that they can't look at their work up in the classroom. At times when it falls on the floor it gets ruined or the custodian accidentally throws it out.
You will make it possible for my children's art work to always be displayed in the classroom.
We will never have to worry about it getting lost or ruined again. Thank you for taking the time to read and support my proposal.
