Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a wonderful school in the South Bronx. Many of these children come from low income homes. Our school has had budget cuts and it’s hard to get supplies we need for our children. Physical education is extremely important in school. Children need gross motor activities to keep them moving. Children are sitting all day long and it’s important to there education to get time to move around. You can help children get supplies that will help them in school.
My Project
My children need to have drinks during gym and throughout the day. They get very thirsty and the water foundations at school are not coming out with clean water. The children also put their mouths on it and germs spread. Having children stay hydrated helps keep them healthy and active during the school day. If they are thirsty it effects the way they work. No child should ever have to be thirsty. My heart breaks when a child it hot from running around at school and they have nothing to drink. Thank you for taking the time to read our proposal.
