My students need these supplies to keep learning in my classroom. I am requesting copy, chart and construction papers, pencils and sharpener since I am all out.
My classroom is in the inner city and we have minimal in supplies. Our typical day is very busy and it needs to be this way to prevent fighting and keep their interest. My biggest challenge is supplies. The children do not come to school with supplies and I buy what I can but I can only do so much.
My students are bright children who have been dealt a undeserving hand in life.
Most of my children come for below poverty-level families and getting to school every day is a struggle. Like I said my children are bright but unfortunately, do not have opportunities to be exposed things like museums and traveling so the only way they can get this is through the classroom.
My Project
I am embarrassed to actually be asking for these supplies. I have been blessed with 3 other projects being granted on this site and feel like asking for paper may appear silly to some. I am asking for these supplies because I do not have any more paper and pencils for my children. My children will use these resources daily and since I can make copies of things we can explore together and with the construction paper we can create different ideas and have an outlet for artistic expression.
My project will make an enormous difference in my classroom because I will have the basic supplies I need to teach my children.
I will be able to give them pencils to write with, paper to write on and charts for them to learn from.
