My Project

Thank you so much for considering supporting this classroom project!

While my school provides students with access to Chromebooks, students do not have access to a media lab with printing capability; I hope to support my students by providing this printer, which is an essential piece of school hardware, in my classroom.

I am a teacher at a majority-low income school in Chicago, many of whom do not have computers and printers at home. My school serves 98% students of color with a high population of non-native English speakers, migrants, students with IEPs, and English learners. Although my students are highly engaged learners, they are at a language and literacy disadvantage without this essential piece of writing equipment.

By providing my classroom with a printer, I hope to improve the writing habits of my students and better prepare them for a college environment.
