This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

DonorsChoose provides a unique opportunity for educators like me to enhance the learning experience for high school students by addressing their fundamental needs, such as providing snacks for participation and recognizing their efforts with rewards for good work.

In a high school math classroom, snacks serve as more than just sustenance; they can also serve as incentives to encourage active participation and engagement among students.

By offering snacks, I can create a positive and motivating atmosphere where students feel valued and supported in their learning journey.

Furthermore, recognizing and rewarding students for their hard work and achievements is essential for fostering a growth mindset and reinforcing positive behavior. Whether it's through small treats or other incentives, acknowledging their efforts can inspire students to strive for excellence and take pride in their academic accomplishments.

Through the generosity of donors, I can create a classroom environment that prioritizes both the academic and holistic needs of my students, ultimately promoting a positive and rewarding learning experience in high school math.
