This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

C.S. Lewis? Jane Austen? Charles Dickens? Many of students have never heard these authors because they don't have access to classic literature! Please help them!

We are a Title I school in Texas!

Reading is a problem. We are a very diverse school with students from all backgrounds and the majority do speak English primarily. My students are from all over the world! Many middle school students are reading at a 4th grade level! These students need motivation to read and they need to learn about literature beyond Twilight!

My Project

The Iliad & The Odyssey by Homer The Divine Comedy by Dante Jane Austen: Seven Novels The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Arabian Nights Charles Dickens: Five Novels The Complete Works of William Shakespeare The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis Grimm’s Complete Fairy Tales Jules Verne: Seven Novels Simply having these books available will make a huge difference. We could apply these works to EVERY lesson. The reference books requested will allow students to enhance their vocabulary and support their learning. Statistics show that students who love to read are more likely to positively contribute to society. So you are improving society!

This project is vital to the enhancement of these students live.

Just being familiar with these books will increase their potential in high school, college, and life. I'm trying to make a difference in not only their education but also their lives.
