This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a low-income, high-mobility school that is Title I. This means all of our children receive free breakfast and lunch during the school day. We have a diverse population and serve children and families from many different cultures.
The students at our school are sweet and crave positive interactions and for someone to show a genuine interest in them.
They are eager to learn new things and love to share what they have learned with others. These students need positive role models in their lives to introduce them to the wonders of the world around them.
My Project
Our district is giving parent the option to remain virtual in the upcoming school year. My little learners will need headphones of their own to hear their classmates as well as direct instruction.
Giving my little learners the equipment they need to be successful during this new school year of distance learning is so important to me.
This project will give each of my students their own set of headphones to use during our distance learning class time. All students will get a pair whether they are in-class or virtual. My students will be able to use their new headphones for all of their distance learning class sessions. They will help my virtual students to hear instructions more clearly and focus on lessons as well as block out environmental noise as they try to learn at home. It will also help my in-class students hear their virtual classmates and provide opportunities for collaboration between students.
