Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students often struggle with motivation in an academic setting. In order to help develop and foster a desire to learn and achieve, students in my classroom earn raffle tickets for such things as arriving to school on time, participating in classroom activities, completing their work, AR quizzes, good behavior, being kind and caring, following our classroom and school rules, etc. I would like to offer students a variety of high-value items as prizes for the raffles I hold each week. If there are cool things to win, students will try harder to earn the raffle tickets. These rewards will in turn help foster greater classroom participation and excitement for learning!
With cool incentives it is my belief that students will improve personal responsibility for their academic skills and thrive as scholars.
I would like to be able to offer my students prizes they like, such as Squishmallows, building sets, and fidget spinners, as well as things that increase physical activity such as sports equipment. With your help, this will be possible!
