Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Most (90%) of our wonderful students live below or near the poverty line. About 60% of our students are learning English in school. Sometimes, our school struggles to get the resources we need to teach and care for our incredible students. This makes the job of a school even more important.

Many students we teach experience poverty, but that's just where they are starting.

Our students love to create art and read. They write computer codes and even perform Shakespeare. They have big dreams, but they need to work hard now. Help them reach for those dreams!

My Project

The girls in my class like to read, but I want them to LOVE to read. The problem is the books we have are old, torn up, and boring. Let's fix that and get our books excited about reading!

By choosing this project you will be sending our class a HUGE box of book that boys can't wait to read.

The books you send us are full of science, animals, and excitement. Girls will not be able to put these books down. Learning to read is hard work but with these books, the kids in our class will have the motivation they need to read, read, read!
