Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

GES is a school of 425 students. We are a high minority (>65% Hispanic/Latino) school in a socioeconomically disadvantaged community. 100% of our students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch services. We are also a school where approximately 12% of our students identify as members of a Russian/Eastern European community. Furthermore, our school hosts a unique Functional Learning Center (FLC), where students with moderate-to-several mental and physical disabilities can receive an equitable academic and physical education experience.

My Project

These cameras will help our math, ELA, and science curriculums come to life! We want to get Ipevo IW2 Wireless Interactive Whiteboard System cameras in every classroom. These cameras will turn any flat space, namely our projector screens, into interactive SmartBoards.

Teachers and students will use these cameras to turn passive projections into active, tactile learning opportunities!

This will help many of our students connect better and deeper to the curriculum, increase student engagement and excitement, and to help our students learn using digital materials (like science) that we can otherwise not afford.
