Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are the most curious 4 and 5 year old Pre-K students I have ever had. They ask questions about their world and observe the world around them with the hunger to know more.
With these materials my students will be able to fully engage and immerse themselves in learning all about light.
They will be able to investigate questions like: What kinds of light are around us? by using the flashlights, the solar power lantern, and by learning about the solar system. The other materials will help use explore questions like: What is darkness? How does light help us? and What are shadows?
I have carefully selected these materials to ensure that my students will internalize the new information learned in this unit with ease. These materials will create hands-on experiences that my students will remember for a lifetime. Help me provide my students with the memories that will further nurture their curiosity and will continue to nurture their love of science.
