My Students

We Love Music! I am very excited to be teaching an amazing, talented, and intelligent group of children. Help us to increase our music literacy, performance, and composition skills. The children and I are looking forward to an amazing year of creative learning and performing!

I am very lucky to be a teacher in NYC.

These amazing, motivated children make our jobs as teachers worth every minute. My elementary aged children at times fool me into thinking they are much older than their years. Their capacity for soaking up information, and implementing it is astronomical. In addition, their love for the arts is heart warming. As a music teacher, I obviously want to help mold children into well-rounded individuals by providing them with a worthwhile arts education. These children raise my level of teaching every day to challenge them with new projects, tasks, and performances. Nothing could be more rewarding than teaching these special kids.

My Project

As I think kinesthetic learning is an important facet in music education, I like to have my classroom as open and free of furniture as possible. The floor mats that I requested, will give the children a soft seat, yet will allow us to retain our ability to move when needed. We have several keyboards in our classroom to use. As these will be used more on an independent basis as the year progresses, the requested headphones will allow for practice time while the rest of the class is engaged. As a well rounded musicians, the children will need to read and write music fluently. The music stave boards will allow for much needed practice in these areas.

It is imperative that arts education stay alive in our schools.

Thank you for your consideration in donating to our music program. The children will greatly benefit from any contribution that you can make.
