This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are a very talented and diverse group who are energized to learn and continue learning how to play their instruments. Our school places the performing arts high on its priority list because of the positive impact that they can have on students' academic and social lives. These students want to grow as musicians and attain a high level of performance. Help my students reach their full potential in band and orchestra by having instruments that work. Anybody who has ever had a car or other equipment that didn't work well knows how frustrating it can be. Help us make music!

My Project

Our marching band needs snacks to help get us through our summer band camp. We need chips, fruit snacks, little debbies, and crackers to help us have the fuel to energize our rehearsals. Students will be rehearsing outside in the mornings and having sectionals inside during the afternoon. These snacks will go along with our lunch each day to help students re-fuel after spending the morning outside. Students will be much more attentive, focused, and active in rehearsals if they have the energy to focus on playing their instrument and getting better. This camp will help set the tone for the year in our band program and help build pride within our school and band program!
