Help Firsties Navigate Technology

Help me give my students the ability to use their chromebooks for distance learning as well as in the classroom. First graders are still working on fine motor skills and the chromebook mouse is hard to navigate.

My Students

My classroom is an eclectic group of students who have a variety of knowledge and needs. They are loving, smart, playful and full of curiosity. I affectionately call them my baby birds because these students are at the age where they are in awe of their teacher. These children amaze me everyday with their positivity and love for learning.

My Project

By funding this project, my first graders will be able to successfully navigate their chromebooks while at school and during distance learning.

It is important for my students to be able to use headphones to block out unwanted noise in the classroom as well as at home.

With headphones, they will be given the opportunity to focus on much needed curriculum instead of distractions.

The compute mice will also allow them to participate on the chromebook with more precision. Being 6 and 7 years old, they are still learning fine motor skills and the built-in touchpad mouse is hard for their little fingers.
