Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach first grade in a small PreK-12 unit school. Our school is low income, but my determined group of students won't let that or remote learning stop them. They look forward to the new and exciting materials, technology, and resources from our school and I would love to give them more for their homes!

My diverse classroom is full of eager to learn students.

They are ready to learn every morning and always brighten my day. I love to see the amazement on their faces when they learn something new. Help us to have the resources and tools we need to do so!

My Project

My little first graders need to build a strong foundation for their math skills. Jen Jones, from Hello Literacy, says:

"Don't get good and then start, just start, and then you'll get good!"

Genius!

I am requesting addition and subtraction flashcards from Lakeshore Learning to help my students start practicing and get good! I would also love the place value flashcards so they could gain a better understanding of the tens and ones place. The math white boards will be wonderful for my students to decompose numbers and show me their work virtually.

I love to support our local businesses, and while I was not able to get everything from there, I am requesting clear dry erase pockets and primary journals from our local LaSalle Office Supply.
