My Students
I am a 4th year kindergarten teacher! Teaching is my passion and working with the littlest learners is what I have always felt called to do. My classroom has always been full of energy and innovation. I go to work daily with the hope I can give each and every one of my students a loving, safe environment to learn!
I teach kindergarten at a Title I school in Texas, where we are still recovering for the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey.
Most of the students in my district lived through a rough time in their short lives due to the Hurricane in 2017. However, these students are resilient and eager to learn. Many of these children lost everything in the storm, are still displaced, and unfortunately lacking basic necessities, but they show up every morning trying their best to smile. My students are survivors and they deserve the best!
My Project
My students have been blessed with a new classroom this year. However, we were not provided with the new play accessories to fill our space for centers. We need a nice comfy rug to sit on while we read and a new bookshelf to hold all our wonderful books! We were lucky enough to be given a kitchen center, but we need pretend food & dishes to fill it with before school starts!
A very important part of Kindergarten is "play based learning".
Early childhood education is built during these social interactions with peers. Please help by contributing to our brand new play space!
