My Project

My students are part of a very rich academic history in Manchester, N.H., and are learning at the state's oldest public high school. I will share the sweetest words I heard this month from a student that only a caring environment, a fueled mind & body and sheer determination had made it possible for him to say. "My college application was accepted, and I am going to be a full-time college student next fall!" However, some learners may not hear that same response and have harder obstacles, especially due to hunger.

Many of our students experience daily food insecurity.

Meaning they may not have had access to food until they come to school or my class.

Students in my classroom overcome academic difficulties with a range of disabilities, including specific learning disabilities, other health impairments, autism spectrum disorder, and intellectual disabilities and come from varying socioeconomic situations that unfortunately include, homelessness, poverty, and income inequality. Please help make it easier by being able to supply a snack when extra fuel is needed.
