Help Eagles Girls Volleyball to Soar to New Heights!
My students need jump ropes to work on their cardiovascular fitness levels, medicine balls to work on their explosiveness and power, and Spalding volleyballs to perfect their passing, setting, hitting, and serving!
ESHS volleyball athletes are extremely dedicated to their sport, their team, and their community. Most years, the girls' volleyball program hosts 45-50 young women who desire to improve their game and become the best possible teammate. Skills learned during their time on the team aren't just ones you can see on the court...many of the skills are ones you feel.
In order to be able to be focused on the skills that are needed to make the program a successful one, we are in desperate need of training equipment.
Equipment needs are a big headache for a program, since funding is scarce. Usually, priority items such as uniforms deplete the yearly team budget, so we never have the chance to build up our training equipment needs.
My Project
With the donation of volleyball training jump ropes, our players will be able to work on their cardiovascular fitness levels, and with the 6-15 pound medicine balls the girls will be able to work on their explosiveness and power, and with the Spalding volleyballs they will perfect their passing, setting, hitting, and serving! Our athletes put in approximately 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, in improving their game. Pre-season training begins in the spring, continues through the summer. Our season is in the fall, and we strive to make it into post-season play!
Once we become a fine-tuned team, the effects of the effort and the sweat put into the goal of becoming the best team possible, the girls will become a family, a crew, a tribe--where everyone works toward the same goal and for the same reason.
