My Students
How can students succeed without the appropriate resources? There isn't enough technology in our classroom! As a teacher in a Title I school in downtown Manhattan, we have a large population of special education, low income and English Language Learners students in our class. We want them to learn how, through multiple means, they can become great readers, writers, and mathematicians!
Most of my students are eligible for free lunch due to their socioeconomic status.
Many of our students have ADHD, learning disabilities, and speech impairments. We want to prepare these students for the future and give them the same opportunities that other New York City children can afford.
My Project
My students want new books for the new school year. Who doesn't love the feel of a new book in your hand? My students need books that are exciting and engaging.
My students need new books for the new school year!
Let's start second grade off right with engaging new books!
My students love to read and I do not want them to lose interest with the same old boring books. They are progressing as readers and learners.
Let them grow their brain, as we say in our class, by reading brand new, interesting books.
More than half of students from low‑income households
