Mrs. Busch from New Haven CT is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need the Osmo for the newest technology to help engage them and change their mindset from learning is boring to learning is fun!

Osmo is an educational gaming system that works with your iPad and four game apps to transform the physical space in front of the iPad into a digital game board. Osmo provides Tangrams, word games, and physics puzzlers with real-world pieces for students to touch and grasp.
Learning can be Fun!
Traditional textbooks and worksheets are not my teaching style. I like my kids engaged and interactive throughout the day. My students are excited to learn and I am constantly finding new ways to motivate them! My school is in a high poverty city and most of my 23 kids are struggling in reading. Most of my students are coming to third grade at a kindergarten or first grade reading level and they only have basic math skills. I am working towards helping my students realize their own potential and how smart they truly are! I have tried my best to inspire my students and make them believe that education is freedom. We discuss how important college is and creating a path to the future through education, but some still struggle to believe in themselves. The Osmo is a new creative way to engage learners using technology! Help me motivate my students who have so much potential but can't see it themselves through fun interactive tools!
We have two classroom iPads so I will create schedules for the students to use and explore the Osmo program. My students will learn how to work together and explore their creativity. Instead of learning from the textbook they will be able to open their minds to something new and exciting!
