Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Ensure my classroom library reflects the diversity of the students and the broader world. A diverse classroom library helps all students feel represented and introduces them to different cultures, perspectives, and experiences.

These books will enhance the inclusive classroom library that I strive to create.

My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy-I read on the carpet to them, they complete work there, and they read independently! Every student book that is placed in my library has been chosen with my students in mind I am looking to enhance our classroom library with diverse books that reflect the variety of backgrounds and experiences of our students. This will not only help them feel represented but also create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere in our classroom.

In addition, I aim to educate our students on becoming allies and advocates. It's important for them to understand how to amplify the voices of others and take action against injustice.
