My students need an HP Chromebook. This technology will allow students to tackle larger and more real-world problems, which will prepare them for college-level work.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students live in an impoverished area of South Los Angeles. All of my students come from low-income families. We are a Title I school where one hundred percent of our students receive free meals. My students always try their best at everything and anything despite the challenges that they face in their daily lives.
They are already not expected to have it as easy as others, but we learn that with hard work and consistency, they can be "unique" or different from the rest.
My students are so eager to learn that it makes coming to work easy!
My Project
As the years pass, more and more of the curriculum is online, and online access is a requirement in order to be successful. Unfortunately, our school district does not have the budget to supply Chromebooks to individual classrooms. The lack of technology creates a huge disadvantage to my students trying to compete in the real world and become successful in whatever path they choose. We only have four classroom computers that are up and working for my 33 children right now. The children will use age-appropriate websites and programs to play games and complete lessons that will help in aiding him or her in their reading weaknesses.
My students are extremely motivated and love to learn, but without access to Chromebooks, they are unable to use programs critical to their learning and success in the classroom.
With these Chromebooks I will be able to give my students access to programs that will help them learn, grow, and succeed during this school year.
