This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a wonderful school in the South Bronx. Many of these children come from low-income homes. Our school has had budget cuts and it’s hard to get the supplies we need for our children. We have amazing children who deserve to have the supplies they need to succeed. Physical education is extremely important in school. Children need gross motor activities to keep them moving. Children are sitting all day long and it’s important for their education to get time to move around. You can help children get supplies that will help them in school.
My Project
My children are very active in school. They have a long day everyday. Many times the children do not bring a snack and drink for snack time. Their faces are so sad. No child should ever have to be hungry in school. My heart breaks when I see a kid hungry. They can’t concentrate and work as hard when they are hungry. You will make it possible for the children to have a full belly when they are in school. Thank you for taking the time to read our proposal.
